Leah Bray is a transformation leader with over 20 years of experience helping senior finance executives navigate complex, enterprise-scale change. As the Founder of FWRD, Leah partners with executive teams to move beyond traditional technology-led implementations, focusing instead on the business logic, process architecture, and governance required to succeed in the era of AI.
Most recently, Leah led Finance Transformation at Google, where she built and scaled a global transformation office spanning Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A. Managing an $80M annual portfolio, she directed high-stakes initiatives ranging from ERP modernization (Oracle to SAP S/4HANA) to end-to-end process redesign. During her tenure, she established the executive governance forums, defined the strategic transformation approach, and designed the operating model necessary to move a global finance organization toward AI-enabled automation.
Leah’s approach to AI adoption is rooted in a governed, two-pronged strategy: balancing top-down executive vision with bottom-up grassroots experimentation. She believes that while experimentation drives adoption, durable success requires a rigorous focus on the foundational data and process work that allows AI to scale securely and effectively.
